Last weekend, EJTA (European Journalism Training Association) Conference was held in Dublin,
where Ana Ledenko and Lucija Pongrac had a chance to represent FEJS. The main topic of the
Conference was „From speed to slow journalism“ and it reflected the need for more analysis
and depth in both news and story-telling. Many interesting topics were discussed, like
long-form story-telling, investigative journalism and data journalism in journalism education
and training.

Ana and Lucija represented results of their research which they made among
first year MA journalism students on Faculty of political sciences in Zagreb.
Their goal was to give student’s perspective on investigative journalism.

A journalist of The Irish Times was interested in their results and mentioned
them in her article.

Beside attending the conference, they managed to find time to explore Dublin.
They came back full of positive impressions and with a wish. To come back in
Dublin and drink one more pint of Guinness.
