The Annual Congress was held between 19th and 24th of April 2018 in the beautiful city of Krakow in Poland.
This years GA in Moscow took place together with the annual EJTA European Journalism Training Association) conference with the topic “Journalism Education Across Boarders”. The General Assembly hosted 35 participants from 11 different delegations – Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Latvia, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, Poland and host country Russia.

The GA in Riga was held between 22nd and 26th of September. At this event, we also celebrate the 30th anniversary of FEJS.
The GA of 2015 was held between October 8th and 12th in Porto, Portugal. The topic of the General Assembly was The Attitude of European Countries Towards Refugees. During the event, participants discussed and compared the situation of refugees and the attitude towards them in different European countries. During the GA we also voted regarding the Executive board members and locations for next FEJS events.
The AC of 2015 was held between April 16th and 21st in Athens, Greece. The topic of the Congress was Stereotypes, Media Exclusion and Far-right Rhetoric in European Media. Lectures and workshops were held at the Department of Communication and Media of the University of Athens. The programme included both lectures and workshops led by professionals in the relevant fields from all over Europe. The participants came to understand how the dynamics of a minority, political, racial and ethnic have shaped the way European media content is produced and circulated by or because of it. AC hosted around a hundred participants from 19 delegations.
The GA of 2014 was held between 6th and 10th November in Vaasa, the sunniest city of Finland. We had lectures with the head of communications and journalism department of Åbo Akademi University, freelance journalist Marcus Lillkvist and writer/journalist Viveca Dahl. During the GA we voted about the new Executive board and locations for next FEJS events. We also enjoyed a traditional Finnish student sitting party, some sauna and a visit to the UNESCO Natural heritage site located just outside of the city.
