GA 2014 VAASA, FINLAND
We are happy to invite you to the annual General Assembly of the FEJS International v.z.w., which will be held in Vaasa, Finland from the 6th to the 10th of November 2014.
Vaasa, a small city on the west coast of Finland, is said to be the sunniest city in Finland but do not be fooled. The wind from the Gulf of Bothnia is freezingly cold.
We, the Organizing Committee, warmly welcome each and every one of you to the city, also known as the capital for the Swedish-talking Finns and the student city of Finland.
We will be having the most part of our meetings and workshops at the Åbo Academy university Vasa campus and we will stay at the Omena Hotel (http://www.omenahotels.com/).
This year, our mission is once again to elect a new Executive Board. If any of you are already interested and eager to run for any of these positions, do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat (sec@fejsint.org) for more information. The future of the organization is an inevitable subject and this year we will bring you some interesting lectures and workshops as well.
During your stay in Vaasa, you will become familiar with the city and the student life in Finland, with a so called sitting that is a way of partying, very popular with the student in Finland. You will as well have the chance to go to the Sauna, because all the best decisions are made in a temperature over 80 ˚C.
The most convenient way to get to Vaasa is by airplane to the airport of Vaasa and then take a bus to the center or fly to Helsinki and take a train to Vaasa from there (takes about 4-5 hours but the trains in Finland are comfortable and they have student discounts).
